16 Week Prenatal Update and Food 3/28- 4/3

Yesterday I headed to Chattanooga with my mother-in-law for my sixteen week prenatal appointment. Baby Winningham and I are both healthy and growing. My midwife was a little surprised that I have already been feeling movement. I also measured closer to seventeen weeks, but that’s ok with me. A big, strong baby is a blessing. My blood work and blood pressure were perfect. Advice for the coming month: eat (even) more protein, don’t worry about getting down the pregnancy tea if it’s too gross to handle, drink lots and lots of water while camping on the equator in a few weeks. It is hard to believe that this pregnancy will be half of the way over at my next appointment.  next Saturday we’ll be having our first and hopefully only ultrasound and will know if we’re expecting a son or daughter!

Here’s this week’s menu:


Supper: Hawaiian chicken with rice and brocolli


Breakfast: bacon and eggs

Lunch: leftovers

Supper: sandwiches, veggies with ranch


Breakfast: bacon and fruit

Lunch: cheesy omlettes with peppers and ham

Supper: Tuna Tapanade (adapted) with toast, baked potatoes


Breakfast: scones with fruit

Lunch: Easter lunches with family (make Hawaiian dip with pretzels)

Supper: leftovers


Breakfast: bacon, egg, and cheese scramble

Lunch: tuna or egg salad with snacks

Supper: hamsteak with beans and cornbread


Breakfast: scones with fruit

Lunch: leftovers

Supper: honey mustard pork chops with mashed potatoes and English peas


Breakfast: bacon and eggs

Lunch: leftover pork chop with salad (frozen veggie soup for Meagan)
